Revit Architecture Instructional Videos
The following are a series of videos from the classes at Central Washington University's Construction Management
Program Architectural CAD class.
One of the best ways Revit
Architecture allows you to visualize your project is to allow you to walk
through it. While walking through it, you can look up, down and around
focusing on various details as you pass.
Revit Walk Through
There was a request, from
one of my students, for me to demonstrate the installation of columns in
Revit Architecture. The videos below help explain the steps involved
in installing architectural columns.
Installing a Revit architectural
column
Another way Revit Architecture
allows you to visualize your project is through image renderings of certain
Camera views in your project. View and practice the videos below.
Some image Renderins will be a requirement for your Dream House presentations.

February 12, 2010 Back from SolidWorks World 2011. I will have a simplified model and video available soon using the "Modeling Box" concept for construction design that I presented at SWW2011. The simplified model will have no sub-assemblies but only parts like floors, walls and roofs driven by the master assembly sketches and categorized by folders instead of sub-assemblies. The simplified model, I believe, will run much faster. Check back soon.

February 12, 2010 The Revit class is moving along real well. The automated features in the program really enhance the speed of design but lack some of the control that you get with SolidWorks. Now SolidWorks has introduced “SolidWorks Live Building”. A video demonstrating this is available at the Video link.
